Responsibilities:
- Provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental, intellectual, or physical disabilities
- Assist clients with daily living activities including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and mobility
- Implement individualized support plans (ISPs) and document progress accurately
- Facilitate community integration and accompany clients to appointments and activities
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, families, and care team members
- Promote client independence, dignity, and self-determination at all times
- Respond appropriately to behavioral support needs and crisis situations
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Previous experience in direct support, caregiving, or human services preferred
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
- Strong interpersonal skills with a patient, empathetic, and person-centered approach
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed
